Holy Priest

The most versatile healer in TBC with strong single-target and AoE healing tools.

How It Feels to Play

Holy Priest is the jack-of-all-trades healer. You can tank heal with Greater Heal and Flash Heal. You can raid heal with Prayer of Healing and Circle of Healing. You can do both at the same time with Prayer of Mending bouncing around. No other healer has this level of flexibility, and it makes Holy Priest feel incredibly capable.

Circle of Healing (the 41-point talent) is a game-changer. It's an instant-cast AoE heal that hits your target and nearby party members. In raids where the whole group is taking damage, you're the hero. It's also mana-efficient enough to use frequently, which means you're always doing something useful.

The challenge is knowing which tool to use when. A great Holy Priest reads the fight and adapts, tank healing when the tank is getting crushed, switching to raid heals when AoE damage goes out, using Guardian Spirit (through Inner Focus) for clutch moments. It's the most reactive and decision-heavy healer spec, which makes it endlessly engaging.

+Healing is your most impactful stat. It directly increases how much each heal does. Intellect gives mana pool and crit. MP5 sustains you through long fights. Haste lets you get heals off faster in emergencies. Spirit provides out-of-combat regen and some in-combat regen.
